Hi guys. Like many of your own, my IC7 V1.0 northbridge fan has gotten noisy. If I leave the computer off for 6+ hours, and then turn it on again, the northbridge fan will start making a loud buzzing noise starting about 1 second after power on, until about 35 seconds after power on. After this point, it acts like normal, and doesn't make the loud buzz.

Anyway, on to my questions. How do you release the northbridge fan/heatsink? How hard would changing it be for someone who is very noob to actual physical hardware modifications? (built the computer, but have never changed fan/heatsinks on GFX cards, mobos, etc) Will changing the fan void the warranty? Will the newer revision northbridge heatsink/fan fit with a Thermalright SLK-900U, using the stock intel retention bracket?

Thanks guys (and gals).
