Changing Resolution Causes Reboot

I just installed the Cat 5.8s hoping to solve a different problem, and now whenever I change the resoluion via Display in Control Panel, I get the message saying "System Settings Change: You must restart your computer before new settings will take effect."

What the hell? Since when do you need to reboot to change resolution or color depth? Never had this problem with previous Cat drivers.

Can anyone solve this?
