changing ONLY the audio codec in video file

Hey guys, i have a video file that has DTS audio. My media playback device doesn't support that format, so i'd like to convert it to aac or ac3. I currently use handbrake to encode video files, but i was wondering if it's possible to ONLY change the audio? Handbrake seems to want to encode both video and audio, which makes the conversion time nearly 24hrs for HD content. thanks for the info!

Demux the video and audio. Then re encode just the audio. Once that's done remux it back into whatever container it was in.
