Changing HSF Direction

I currently have a XIGMATEK HDT-RS1283 HSF on my Phenom II 810, but it faces straight up, and blows into my psu. I want to rotate it so it blows out the back of my case where there is another fan that would create a push/pull scenario.

Is there any retention bracket or other system that will do this? Or am I SOL without a new case or motherboard?
 
You'll have to get a cooler that uses a bolt-through kit for AMD. The stock AM2/3 mounting system isn't the best for tower style coolers. There is a kit available for your cooler, but it's only for Intel sockets.

If you do decide to get a new cooler, I have to recommend a Megahalems with AM2/3 adapter kit. It keeps my Phenom II nice and cool, even though I'm pushing a shit-load of voltage through it(and I'm also from Texas, so ambient temp sucks).
 
I was looking at the bracket and the HDT-1283 and it looks like they both have holes that might line up. Anyone know the chances of them lining up?
 
nafljhy over at overclock.net makes a bracket that works with the HDT-S1283 and even the Vendetta 2 to turn the HS vertical instead of horizontal. I know this cause mine arrived just today and got it installed. Took a quick look at the RS1283, bet that would work as well.

I just installed the mount and 2 Sythe Slipstream 1900RPM rans and getting really good temps already. ATM about 5c lower than before even with my space heater on :cool: more if I have it off, don't think my TIM has even cured fully yet (IC7 Diamond).

For the rest, maybe in a few more months Xigmatek will release the ACK-ATI775 here in the states. Its the official converter they made foe the AM2+/AM3 socket.
