Does anyone know of a way to effectively change the hostname in XP (sp2 if it matters) through the command prompt? I've tried pretty much everything I can think of. Someone told me you can through netsh, but wasn't specific and I couldn't find anything that works.

I don't think it's possible.

C:\>hostname /?
sethostname: Use the Network Control Panel Applet to set hostname.
hostname -s is not supported.

Even after digging thru a couple of other forums I can't see a way to pull this off - anyone else out there late on a Sunday have any ideas?
