Changing drive letter? How?

I just replaced a broken hard drive in my computer but after I set it up along with it's partition, the drive letters were a little messed up.

the main partition is C:/ but instead of the next partition being D:/, it's E:/, and the CDROM is D:/

Is there any way to change the CDROM to drive E: and the the 2nd partition to be D:?

control panel->administrative tools->computer managment-> disk management tab->find your drive and right click it for drive letter options

BTW some programs & installers are hardcoded to expect D: to be the CD-ROM so you might want to reconsider.
