G'morning all,
When you go to File>Properties in Word or Excel or whichever Office app, under the Author tab, it lists a name. When you go to the User Information tab in Options in Word (Options>General in Excel) it lists a name that isn't the same as the Author name.
Can someone tell me how to change the Author name? Is it the name that was used to register Windows? It doesn't seem to be the name that was used when installing Office.
We have a number of computers that all have the same spreadsheet open, and when one of the computers has the spreadsheet "locked for editing", it will tell you "<name> has spreadsheet locked for editing" or whatever.
The problem is, the same name is showing up on a two or three computers so if it has that one name, we have no idea which computer it is. They're spread across several buildings, the computers, so it takes time to figure out which one has it open.
I would greatly appreciate any help, if there needs to be clarification just let me know. Thanks!
