Is there a way to edit my thread title.

I have a For Sale thread that says the products that I am currently selling, but I want to change it to something else. Is there a way?
 
Send a PM to the forum Mods or an Administrator and they will make the change for you :)
 
Is there anyway [H]F would allow its members to change its thread's titles? The vast majority of forums I'm a member with allow this. I don't see why Hard Forum is handicapping its members from doing so. :confused:
 
We would allow it in FS/T forums in a New York minute if we could, but the setting is universal and a workaround hasn't been found yet. Possibly after the forum settles down and the possibility can be revisited. As far the remainder of the forum, no....that feature has been used maliciously in the past and will remain the way it is.

I appreciate the reply. I wonder how one would abuse changing his thread's title. It's not like one would be able to change someone else's thread titles, just his own. Most of the forums I belong to allow this capability and I've never heard of any malice/abuse about it. :confused: In any case, I respect HF's rules.
 
I think it is sufficient to say that it was abused to a great degree and if reinstated, it would probably be misused again. You have 20 minutes to change your mind on the thread title and we consider that plenty of time to make corrections. After the 20 minutes, just PM a mod/admin and they will gladly make the corrections for you.
 
MD, I'm not doubting you, but I'm curious as to what kind of abuse you previously saw occurring when thread title changes were allowed. Thanks.
