I've always enjoyed the classic theme for Windows XP, but I tend to alter the Start Menu banner to look a little less generic.
This can be easily done in virtually every version of Windows by replacing the bitmap resource in explorer.exe using a simple utility such as Resource Hacker. However, this method does not work in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 as the banner is not stored there. Anyone know where or how the bitmap for its particular banner is stored?
