Change Dell's Default Resolution?

Hello, Guys!

Problem:
I have a Dell U2412M and I am trying to connect my HTC One to it... through HDMI - DVI. But it's only at Dell's default resolution of 640x480. I can't change the rez on the phone nor on the monitor's OSD.

So, is there a way to upgrade/change the Dell's firmware so I can set the default rez to 1920x1080? I don't even know if that's possible. :confused:
 
It's up to the phone to be able to output properly. There's no setting on the monitor you'll be able to monkey with.
