Change Allocation unit size in Disk Managment

Need to change the allocation unit size in Disk Managment in order to extend a volume; what is the easiest way to do it? Can't reformat the array.

It's $159, but the free version won't do it. Also, it apparently only works on dynamic disks, not basic disks (as listed in Disk Management), and there is a risk of data corruption.

Since doing this task at all means you should have a complete data backup, make sure your backup is fresh, and then just reformat the array. If you don't have a data backup already in place, it's time to invest in one.
 
I do have a cloud back up with Backblaze but restoring from them will take forever; will just get some 20TB USB WDs and do a new array.

So what will you do with the old array? How are you going to work out removing the old drives from the array box and then installing the new WD drives into the array box?
 
I can add 11 x 20TB WD drives into my 24 bay case and create another array. Currently have 13 x 14TB HDs in a RAID 6.
 
As someone who tried to help a friend more than a decade ago with an Areca array, I do not recommend doing this. I am surmising you want to extend past an arbitrary volume and/or file size limit (16TB with 4k for example) because of your sector size. Depending on your workflow (and how much you change the sizes) this can create additional issues (Performance, file size, etc.). Misalignment of the sector boundaries between the drive sector size, the sector/cluster size of your array AND the filesystem running on top of it. Go to Best Buy, buy some 20TB USB's, backup/restore/return!
