So I'm looking for a new chair since my current one, a clearance chair from staples, is on its way out. Cushioning on seat is nearly nonexistant. I like executive chairs, since the backs are so high and I can rest my head at the very top. Unfortunately the chairs I really like are around $200 or so. Then I came across this chair at Sam's. It's very comfortable, but I'm not sure of the brand. And that's where I come to the [H] forums for help.

I'm curious if anyone has ever heard of or used a novimex brand chair, and if they are sturdy and well built. I'm sorta leaning towards the chair but the gray color as well not knowing about Novimex is giving me 2nd thoughts. There are several other chairs that I like but again they be 'spensive, but if they last me a long time then it may be worth it. Oh, and I use the chair for about 5+ hours a day.

Maybe I'm just being too picky :p.

its a chair, if your ass is comfortable in it thats all that matters IMO. Check the current build condition of the demo chair. If it is in good shape you can bet it's a good chair since I am sure lots of other people have sat in it.

I agree with the above, comfort is all that matters. The only downside to paying less for a chair is usually less quality components are used and they tend to not last as long.

Hmm. Good arguements I say. I may go down to Sam's later today and take a closer look at it. The name Novimex just seems kinda...weird. When I say Novimex, I think of Pemex, and I have no idea why. But the chair supposedly has a 10 year warranty. Hmm I say.

not really sure what Pemex is, but a 10 year warranty is damn good. Plus again its only 90 bux, cant beat that.

Bought the chair. So very comfy. And it's quite darker than the pictures show. Wheee.

The pic in that link makes it look like leather or something...but it says fabric.

Yep, it's fabric. Actually it's more like a mesh type of material, made out of fabric. Looks really nice in person imo.

I'm currently in a fairly comfy chair. Lots of padding on the bum. But most importantly, adjustable levers for back rest AND bum seat tilt. Here's a pic of the one I wanted, but they didn't have in stock...
