I bought this card about 2 months ago and for the most part it sounds great although my only complaint is that while i am doing anything on the computer like say browsing the web or in windows explorer the sound begins to crack and pop a little, I have tried every single driver available for these and none make a difference. Any ideas?

Also, has anyone come across a 64 bit windows driver for this card? Thanks.
 
List out your system specs. Are you typing on the keyboard when it does this?
 
A64 3200+,ASUS K8v se deluxe,512 meg crucial,winxp

Typing doesnt usually cause it to stutter,but if i switch back and forth between open applications it will until i stop switching. Browsing the hard drive and switching between folders causes the worst cracks and pops.
 
It is installed in the last Pci slot already. I have 2 hard drives, a 120 and a 160 both are 7200 rpm 8meg cache western digitals just hooked up through ide.
 
Shield the IDE cables? Wrap them in Al foil and ground it to the case? Being no EE, I have no idea whether that will do anything but keep your HD from being controlled by government thought control beams.
 
Ok i tried all that and still nothing. However i uninstalled all the drivers and just let windows us a generic one that it had and that fixes it but i cant configure anything like sound options. This sucks.
 
Sounds like you are playing music when this happens. What program are you using to do this and what kind of plugins or settings do you have setup? Are the music files being played from the system drive, another local hard drive, or from a network location?
 
Is everything at stock? PCI bus locked? All PCI functions in the BIOS at default settings?
 
im playing in winamp from a local drive and all settings in winamp are set to default
