Is it just me or does it seem like Jack Dorsey doesn't know crap about Twitter? Everyone, since the dawn of social media, knows about the ol' "editing a post after people have responded" gag. You know, where you ask "how many people like ice cream" and then you change "ice cream" to something messed up like "killing kittens" and then sit back and laugh at the people that already responded.
 
That's tech CEO 101. Say "Yes" to everything people ask for, then have your staff scramble around for days to try and restore some type of sanity.
 
Good thing will still have places like Tweet Save and Archive.
 
Sometimes I almost reach for F5 during Quake matches.
 
Given the scenario in the newspost, It could be done with revision history, so it could look like this post edit:

------
> how many people like ice cream* killing kittens?

*User edited at TIMESTAMP
------

And then make it so you can't edit past X time (15min?).
 
There's a bulletproof way to stop this sort of problems. You never need to edit your posts if you don't post them.
