Hey guys. I know the centrino is more than just a processor, im not sure where to post this. I got a new gateway laptop from my school, its a mass imaged hard drive. Everybody has the same image. Well, no matter what wireless connection im on, except for my schools, every few minutes, i lose my connection.

Everybody who got a laptop this semester is having the same problem, and IT refuses to fix it. Have any of you ever used a centrino laptop and might know how to fix it? I am so frustrated not being able to use a laptop i paid for. They wont let me format it, even though i paid for it, so im stuck with their configs. HELP!

Go to ur wireless network connection config.
go properties.
Click wireless network. Click on configuration you have.
Click on authentication tab. Take off checkbox Enable IEEE 802.1x authenticatificaiton for this network if its on... Most like problem than anything else.

Fixed.

THere is a bug in XP with the Wireless Zero Configurator. It constantly seeks the best connection, which in turn causes it to drop. By disabling it AFTER i have established connection with whichever wireless connection i want too, BOOYAH, no disconnects. Fuggin bugs =(
