Seems like there is a CellFactor benchmark called CellMark coming up?

[...] Well, because the subject of CellFactor came up, you taught in Taiwan concerning existence, please can tell concerning “CellMark”. CellMark probably is to be what benchmark?

Sean Lai

But still it cannot show the picture, as spoken in Taiwan, it is designed in such a way that it can compare the performance at the time of the software operation which does physical simulation with hardware operation and CPU which utilize PhysX PPU.

A fact, a rumour or just a misinterpretation by the thread starter? :)

In other news, I decided to upload the old Meqon software physics demos to FileFront. Good fun and worth checking out

There's three demo folders included in that ZIP:

Meqon - Game Dynamics SDK Demos 1.4
Meqon - GDC 2005
Meqon - Jeep Demo

EDIT: Those demos were released before Meqon was acquired by AGEIA (in September 2005), so naturally there's no PhysX hardware support because the demos use Meqon's proprietary physics engine.

If it's being done that means futuremark is doing the app because they pretty much own that kind of naming scheme. It wouldn't seem to off the mark though as they used Ageia's physics in the last 3dMarks just not utilized the PPU. Seems like it will be cool though Futuremarks makes some great flashy demo's although since they usually do scripted stuff I wonder how much they can do.

Thanks for the files, but there are no PhysX support is there?

Terra - Driving that jeep is fun :D

Nope. No PhysX hardware support. The demos use their own CPU/software physics engine.

EDIT: By the way... just before the AGEIA buy-out Meqon was licensed for Duke Nukem Forever :) Don't know if the DNF guys have moved on to PhysX SDK by now.

(oops, edit too late :D)

Meqon is reportedly used in DNF (whatever that means...), so perhaps there'll be support for hardware physics in it.

Who knows they are probably on there 10th iteration of the game and probably have there own in house physics engine going. I remember they were talking about this around the time they had a few screenshots released as well. Now if you look for stuff the latest things are very incomplete and untextured.

someday my kids will ask me "who is duke nukem, and why does he talk like that?" LOL

I'd like to see the finished benchmark results when they come out...
