Cell Proc.

No it hasn't. Cell proc is base on the Power architecture. Actually to be more specific on the Power 5 architecture. G5 is Power 4 architecture. G6 are rumored to be power 5 design.

I wonder if that's the same Cell architecture that will be used in PS3...
 
You people should read the article, most of you are arguing about things that are stated in there. The PU or Processing unit is going to be something simliar to a G5 and all its going to be doing is task assigning for the APU's or the little processors actually doing the grunt work.
