Cell phone interference and subwoofers

Has anyone else experienced this? Whenever I get a call, or make one, on my cell phone near my roommate's computer speakers the subwoofer starts making loud buzzing noises. It's not just when making calls either, just putting the phone near the woofer makes the noise. Sometimes the subwoofer makes the noise randomly if a cell phone is just in the room. I've had the same buzzing noise also come from speakers at a couple of friend's houses, so it's not limited to just one speaker set.

for the most part that indicates cheap unshielded speakers, my room mates z-560s do the same thing, but i have never had any problem with my polk R-15's, before the Polks i had a cheap creative setup and they were affected by the same problem and even before that i had some really crappy cyber acoustic ones and they were affected worst than the z-560s and the creatives.



my guess is that your friends dont have shielded speakers
