Well I just got to building a Celeron D 326 2.53 Ghz for a friend on an Intel 915GAV motherboard. Well using the intel temp monitoring programing and running prime for about an hour now gonna let it run for atleast three more.
Now the temp monitoring program says that the temp fluctuates between 54-58C when running prime. Idle temps are around 44-46C I believe. Oh yeah the cooling is 2 120mm Fans (one intake, one exhaust), and the stock Intel heatsink setup.
Oh yeah I did see a spike or two that hit 60C but it immediatley went down to 57C
I checked intels site and I believe it said 67.7 C is max temp before it throttles I believe.
Now in your honest opinion are these temps are normal and good for this setup.
Thanks in advance for your input, it is greatly appreciated.
