cd writer can read but cannot burn

any idea how to fix this thingy? Even read cd also can be sometimes sensitive. Last time i still can burn cdrw. now cannot burn cdr. I didn't try again on cdrw anyway. SO i just assume cdrw also cannot burn. Conclusion is cannot burn. Any way to test and confirm this thing really cannot burn anymore? thanks.Btw i had tried to clean the cd writer by cd cleaner utilities. it doesn't work
 
Have you tried uninstalling the drive via device manager & rebooting? That usually does the trick ;)

Also, disable all 3rd party services & applications from starting up in windows - just to be sure that it's not conflict related.

Other than that, if it's the same media that you've always used - could be a faulty drive (especially if it's sketchy when reading).
