CD key probem...Steam

just bought spellforce 2 gold edition on steam and when I launch the game a pop up window comes up that only displays half my cd key. Is there any way to get the box to fit the entire cd key?
 
The pop-up usually has a button to copy the key, does that not work? You also might try bringing up the overlay to see the full key.
 
I tried copy to clipboard but that also displayed part of the key. How do I bring up the overlay?
 
or, cant you go to your game list and right click on the game and go to view cd key.

Then just copy or write down the key and do it that way?
 
are you using the beta? I had issues with some text only half-appearing yesterday...
 
it's just strange, no matter what I do only half the cd key is displayed. The box isn't wide enough to display the entire key.I'm gonna try the new steam demo and see if that helps

I had the same problem, the 'copy to clipboard' function didn't work. The easiest fix is to right click on the game in your Steam games list and click view cd key. Write it down on a piece of paper, and then enter it.
