CD drive registering as floppy drive

I built a computer over the previous summer and am now off at college, I went back last weekend and tired to put a CD into my disk drive, but nothing happened. I checked it out and my computer is registering it as a floppy drive. Does anyone know how to change it back to a CD drive? Thank you.

Have you tried uninstalling it from device manager, and re-detecting it?
