Hey-

Okay, something's not right. My computer has a DVD-rom and it won't read anything. It gives a "win32"-type error. I also have a cd burner that does the same crap. It works in my other computer but not this one.

Can it be the ide cable?

p4 2.6c
asus p4p800 deluxe
512 pc3200

Otherwise, the computer runs fine.

Sure, it could be the IDE cable. Try a different one.

Also check the jumpers. Maybe give cable select a try if the master/slave settings aren't working properly.

omg, it was the ide cable

woo woo, i RMA the dvd drive for nothing; oh well

:p
