CCFL vs LED ligthing (blue)

i am considering to get some blue lights for my case.
i would like to be able to even hook them up to my sunbeam rhebous and to be able to change the brightness of it.

What's the question? The best way to manipulate the brightness of either is to limit or add the amount or direction of the lights. LED's are much more directional and can fit into tinier spots, but you have to know a couple basics about series vs parallel; adding resistors to balance the voltage.

LEDs won't look as nice for lighting. The diodes are points of light, compared to a cathode tube which is all even.

And why blue. Cool people go red. Or green.

Right? ... Right?

Logisys or sunbeam, I'd go with Logisys.

Logisys also has some somewhat cool LED Strips And Sunbeam has this: 20 LED Chains

If you get the cathodes from performance-pcs, They will sleeve them in the UV color of your choice for free. UV blue/green/red or yellow sleeving and uv blue/red or green heat shrink tubing.

does anyone know how the sound works?

I have one of those. I never use the sound mode though. I just have it constant on. The sound module doesn't seem to work the best, but those things have always been picky and touchy. Basically, it'll work good with music that has distinct bass hits and not constant bass, like electronica or hip hop type stuff, yo know? Also, you have to adjust it every time you adjust the volume and such, so it's kind of a pain. But the cathode itself is nice. I have the green one, and it's nice and bright. I'd recommend it.

I have a set of dual 12" Logisys cathodes. Quite the steal (the pair for $7 or so. Come in a dual kit). They haven't died yet (4 months now?). Just make sure the inverter gets airflow, or it'll melt right through the casing. Sit it in front of an intake fan or something (you're going to hide the inverter anyways).

well i decided to go with the 15" blue one for P-PCs
i'll get some pics up in a week once i get it, hopefully i will be able to fit it in my case, lol
