CCC and 3 Monitors

I was playing around with Catalyst Control Center and my two LCD's to see what kind of performance I would get in games if I set it up to have CCC make my two LCD's "Appear as one monitor" for Windows.

Aside from the edges of the two monitors getting in the way of center view I found that Oblivion played quite well at 2560x1024. and my max fps were around 44fps (down to 20fps at times when loading scenes/next part of map.

Has anyone who has an SLI or Xfire setup tried to setup 3 monitors and see if either the CCC or Nvidia properties will allow to setup "3 monitors as 1"? And if so have any of you tried playing say oblivion or other games that can support that mass resolution?

Anyway here are a few pics of Oblivion in 2560x1024 res. (sorry for their size)

ugh -- please turn AF on. HDR will be better than Bloom too.

Other than that, looks neat. I wish I could try something like that :)

SLI/Crossfire only support output to one monitor.

I worded that wrong.

What I meant to say is that, is there anyone who has an SLI or Xfire setup and have 3 monitors tried to turn off sli/Xfire and see if they could setup three monitors so that windows "sees only one" in properties when they "stretched" their desktop.

Friends have pointed me to this: http://www.matrox.com/graphics/offhome/th2go/home.cfm
That would be cool to have, but it is somewhat costly (expecially if you do not have an SLI/Xfire setup and 3 monitors/lcd's).

I would try it with my x1900xt and X800XT pcie cards to see if I can "stretch" my desktop to 3 monitors and see If I can play Oblivion per say, but do not have an extra monitor to test. :(

The past two hours were an utter waste of my time (no pun :D ).

Borrowed an old unused 17" crt monitor from a friend, installed my old X800XT pcie card into my extra pcie slot. Booted windows, then continued to not figure out a damn thing on how to setup CCC to make the three screens "seem as one" in windows. All I was able to do was to get two of them to be "seen as one" by windows while the other screen was just an "extended" desktop but not Stretched.

Did some more searching on the net where I thought I found a 6.4 driver made to allow 3840x1024 in the CCC setup, but that didn't even work (or I am doing something wrong).

I keep thinking though that the reason CCC doesn't allow a stretched 3 monitor setup is because of me using an X800XT pcie and an X1900XT? Or perhaps because of the coding behind it to let it do it just isn't available?

While googling, I did notice some posts about the old 5.x CCC that was made that allowed FireMV or such card owners stretch up to 4 monitors. Makes sense though since doing so on that card as it is all processed on "one card" instead of two.

It would of been kinda neat though to run oblivion in say 3840x768 or so. Panoramic views in that game would totally be fun to experience.. :D

To all u out there is there any software that could force a three monitor/lcd setup to be seen as "one monitor" in windows? After googling about every kind of wording I could think of I couldn't find anything solid to try out.
