I know right it seems like AMD has always(don't remember if nVIDIA does too) misrepresented the area of the bar by making it larger.

In the 13th slide the 6970 is 69% faster in Unigine Heaven, but the area of the bar is like 450% greater than the 5870's. Ridiculous.

There is a 30% difference in TDP but a 100% increase in the area of the bar :( Didn't AMD take statistics in high school?

I'm sure somebody did, which is why they did this.

Video cards have always been absurd IMO, because the average user who buys top-end video cards is pretty savvy. Generally, savvy enough to see through the very intense marketing bullshit both manufacturers make. I mean really, who are they trying to fool?
