The 6970 rumor thread is showing a possible delay until 2011 for the 6970.
The 6950 could launch as soon as December 8th.

Please don't mention the probable delay here lest you incite a typhoon of panty-waisted caterwauling :p

I'd actually prefer a delay if it is to ensure enough volume of product/hard-launch.
 
If the 6950 can beat 480/570 then the 6970 will definitely be worth the wait. But it better be FAST.
