Caviar black clicking/twanging?

Well I've got a brand new 2TB caviar black drive and whenever its idle, about every 6-10 seconds or so it makes a soft click or metallic twang.

SMART says everything is okay, and so does the WD Diagnostic stuff. It doesn't make the clicking sound when doing something like the extended test.

I'm just wondering if I should be worried as clicking on a HDD is usually a bad thing....

Automatic Head parking like Green drives do?

Check the SMART data for:

193 Load_Cycle_Count

If this number keeps going up that is most likely the reason.

I don't have access to the said computer right now, and I'll check when I do,
but is head parking every 6-10 seconds bad?

Recent WDC Green drives do that every 8 seconds by default. I downloaded the WDIDLE3 utility to set that to 300 seconds on last few Green drives.

So, if the case that its parking its head, everything is okay? I'm not sure if caviar blacks would park their heads, the feature sheet on the site says nothing about head parking...

Okay, its still clicking regularly like 6-12 seconds, but the load/unload is at 22... I'm pretty sure I've heard more than 22 clicks...

22 is more like the number of times I've restarted my computer so far....
