Earlier today i was playing some CoD4, and my PC locked up, so after saying a few curse words i rebooted and opened up everest to check some things out, and this is what i saw, the 2.5V was down at 1.12V and this is the first i have ever noticed this.

(also, don't mind the CPU temps, its an E8400 and the temperatures don't report correctly)



its the 620W modular Corsair PSU, are any of these voltages cause for alarm?
 
That is kind of odd. I have never seen a 2.5 volt reading from a motherboard. Other then that oddity everything else looks fine.
 
Yeah, I never heard of that either. Also, remember the [H] mantra on PSU's and software readings: "they are inaccurate, and should not be trusted."

I have a Corsair 620 myself running fine, but speedfan reports my 12v rail at 7v, so I disregard that stuff.

Look for other reasons you're getting lockups. Test the memory, get an accurate reading of your CPU and GPU temps. If you're oc'ing, make sure it's stable and that you're giving the components enough juice.

yeah, 12 hours orthos stable, RAM at rated volts, with 0 errors in mem test after 8 hours worth of passes, starting to think its a driver issue with the game i was playing because it seems to only crash in that one game.

Accuracy in this case is pretty irrelevent considering that 2.5 volts isn't even a voltages supplied by the PSU.
