Alright so a few things right away. I did a fresh install the other day and the 4.1's were out so I grabbed them.

I had the 3.10's before and things were working mostly the way they should be.

System:
A64 3200+
Shuttle AN50R
2x512 pc3500ram
Saphire Radeon 9800 pro
Directx9.0b
Win2k sp4 w/ all critical updates

An issue that i had with both set of drivers:
Direct3d based games were very very very dark. This was after adjusting the gamma in the games and in the driver panel under fullscreen 3d. The games were playable but way to darn dark for my tastes.

A new issue with the 4.1's
Directx7, and 8 tests in dxdiag both fail. When they run my screen just goes to standby till the desktop comes back. Directx9 works just fine but again the little spinning cube is really dark.

So, basically what are my options to get better color and to get my directx7&8 working once more. I wouldnt care if my games ran fine, but they don't.

Also, if I want to change my drivers back to an older version, what exactly do I have to do?

Thanks in advance.

Just uninstall the 4.1's from control panel, reboot and reinstall 3.10

I've had some irritating issues with the 4.1 Cat's as well and I'm getting ready to reinstall the older driver. The messed up gamma is probably the most irritating though :O
