This bit of tweaking brought to you by ATI caught my eye and made me wonder. Check out what they tell you to do to your monitors refresh rate.

Now I don't know what your monitors highest refresh rate is but mine is listed as 180Hertz. I remember a time when I set previous 19" monitor to 120 hertz.

POOF! LOL!!! Golly gosh darnit! So much for 120 hertz.

Now, in the large print, they say take it as high as it can handle. But if you look at "f." it says to pick the highest refresh rate on the list.

HOLY SMOKES!!! 180 Hertz??? BZZZZZZZOT! DAMNIT! Another one!

What do you guys think? Are they off or am I just playing chicken here? What are you guys currently running your monitors refresh rates at? I'm on a 19" NEC Multisync 97F @ 75 hertz.

Turn on ddc or whatever, so it will only cheese refresh rates your monitor can support :p

That is always selected in my settings. Won't live without it.

I really do feal like a pussy. I see that some of you have your settings pretty high (even on a CTX). Those past experiences sure are a mutha. I think I'll set my work monitor (17"Trinitron) high and see if it doesn't fry on me before I mess with my home one. :D
