This morning I tried to update the drivers for my X1950, but when the official Catalyst 8.2 drivers started to install, I got a a message saying "This display driver is not compatible with the display adapter(s) installed in your system."

Uh, what? So I figured I'd just do it the right way, remove the devices from Device Manager, run Driver Cleaner, then try again. Same problem.

I ran Windows Update just out of curiosity. The driver install for the video card fails every time. I try to manually install the drivers for the from Device manager for my Radeon X1950 Pro Primary... install fails ("Cannot find the file specified"... and no file is specified). I try it with the secondary... Install fails ("Cannot find the file specified"... and no file is specified). No matter what I try, the drivers will not install.

Any ideas?

agree with bad download before got new card was using these and they ran great with my 1950 pro. matter of fact were first ones that did.
