Catalyst Control Center won't start

Has anyone else not been able to open ATI CCC? I tried updating and reninstalling and closing other programs but CCC won't start. It doesn't even create a new process. And the CCC icon on bottom right corner of the screen isn't there.

I haven't used the control center for a long time so system restore is of no use.

Any suggestions?
