Catalyst Control Center not opening?

Hello, I've never run CCC on this new machine (32-bit Vista with .NET Framework installed).

When I click on CCC, the hour glass spins momentarily, but nothing shows up on my desktop or elsewhere for that matter.

Am I missing something blatantly obvious?
 
Make sure you have the proper version of .net installed, which I believe is 2.0. You may have a different version of .net installed (ie. 3.5) which will create a problem as CCC requires 2.0. You can have several versions of .net installed on the same PC, so it's OK to install 2.0 in addition to other versions.
 
Okay, well, I had a previous install of CCC for a Radeon 2400.

Now I've installed a 4870, so I guess I need a different CCC?

Anyhow, what is "Hotfix"?
 
I've just discovered ATI Catalyst HD 4800 Hotfix for Vista, maybe that will solve my problems...I already have .NET Framework 2.0 installed.
 
Yeah, I uninstalled the factory install of CCC, then downloaded the latest Hotfix version.

Everything is working fine now. Thanks everyone.
