Catalyst 8.10 Issues

I recently installed the New Catalyst Drivers in My HD4850 Computer, and when I Started up "Pure" the Game started acting Weird, in Fact it down right Brought My Computer Down. The First Clue was when it took more than 8 Minutes just to load the First Screen Clip. Then it Just Hung There, like a Freakin Wet Noodle for about another 10 Minutes before it got to the Save Screen where it then asks to you to Press "Enter, or Escape". Then it took another 10 Minutes to load a Race.
By the Time I did get into the Game, I was starting to get extremely Agitated, after All the Game had Been Working just Fine. Anyone Else have any Issues with the New Cat 8.10 Drivers?

I'm Wondering If I should go Back to the Previous Drivers, as they were Working Just fine, and the Game Played Superbly. Now its turned my PC into a Piece of Shit.

I'm afraid to Install "FarCry2" for fear it will crash it.
 
Ati drivers are very troublesome to install. I could not get 8.9 installed and working without crashes and BSOD's, etc and was forced to go back to 8.7. 8.10 has worked very well for me so far once I got them installed. Installation is always the problem on my end.
 
8.10 fucked my system. I had to use 8.9 for a while, but now I am on the Far Cry 2 hotfix drivers.
 
ATI is a pain in the ass in general. I've never gotten the same image quality going from Nvidia to AMD. I only bought the 4870 because the performance and certainly the price was better at the time the GTX 260 was released. I've always had more problems on ATi cards, from more erratic framerates to worse AA visuals. /rant off

Don't want to start a war^

Any on topic- The only experience I have with 8.10s is going from 8.7s with XP32 to 8.10s with Vista64 which lowered my fps a bit in general in most games. 8.10 has been stable so far though (The features in Vista are just so cool to go back though.)
