Thanks man.

Quite a jump in Rev numbers but i guess they do it by year.month

I love this part:

This release of the ATI Catalyst™ Software Suite includes Crossfire™ enhancements that enable the Alternate Frame Rendering (AFR) Crossfire rendering mode by default so that users will see significant performance benefits across all AFR compatible applications immediately (including newly released applications, so users do not have to wait for a future ATI Catalyst™ release to add Crossfire™ support for newly released titles). Future ATI Catalyst™ releases will add further Crossfire™ performance gains once new applications have been profiled specifically for Crossfire™.

If I am reading that correctly that means that AFR is now enabled by default in every single game when you have CrossFire enabled even if there isn't a game profile in the driver yet. That's awesome, that bests SLI which defaults to single GPU if there is no profile. ATI just got 1 leg up on SLI by doing this. Kudos for that, that was one of my huge pet peeves with CrossFire.

anyone tried it with the x1950xt? I know there were alot of driver problems with that, i ordered it anyway, and i get it monday, so this would be nice to see if it works like it should

I just wonder when they will get better Vista Drivers? There Vista Drivers do not work on my 200M Chipset in my Laptop. And of course the jerks totally dumped support for the 9000 mobile one as well even though it works in Vista without Aero turned on.

Im liking them so far.

Nice gains in F.E.A.R. (~8%) and CCC is opening much faster for me now.

Ill install them later and see whats up, they better of fixed the severe lagging issues with fear combat and fear XP.

Well I installed them, I got the same no automatic detection of my monitor, so i spend about half an hour trying to get a picture, and even then it still detected my video card at the wrong speeds, I mean what the hell.

Working fine here. Dark Messiah seems to be running better, and ccc is as fast as I've ever seen it.

Do the 7.1s support Folding@Home? If so, I'll try them. If not, I have to say, I'll stay with the 6.11s.

Hopefully this will fix my issue of BF2 when using AA + CatAI...One can dream

What issue are you having? You know AA works in BF2 if you create a profile for it in ATI Tray Tools: set to "App Pref" for both AA & AF and set CatAI to low.

anyone tried it with the x1950xt? I know there were alot of driver problems with that, i ordered it anyway, and i get it monday, so this would be nice to see if it works like it should

I ordered one today (hard to beat at $250 with a $30 MIR IMO) and I'm hoping the same... ;)

still can't run MMC's TV function, I hate ATI's drivers......

You could or could not before?

I ask because I am now running MMC with a TV Wonder 650 and everything works great, SDTV, HDTV and FM all through the built in MMC interface.

I'm running dual Sapphire x1950pros in CF on an A8R32-MVP Deluxe. Was running 6.12's, CF enabled, at 614/776 (core/mem), no issues. Removed 6.12's, ran Driver Cleaner, installed 7.1's. Enabled CF mode..everything was fine. OC'd to verified 614/776, as before...screen started flashing, with a green hue. Removed OC, went back to normal. Games saw a 10% decrease in FR, and 3DMark06 scores went from 8400 to 8200. Cleaned 7.1's out, and re-installed 6.12s, set OC...back to normal. Fricking weird.

I HIGHLY recommend these drivers.

I have a x1900xt w/256mb onboard, and I saw a nice boost in 3dmark06. I also enabled EATM since I play Oblivion, and it gave a nice effect on scenery.

But anyway:

3dmark06 test a while ago: Clocks 675/774 - Scores 2283 | 2567 (e6600 @ 3Ghz or so)
3dmark06 test today: Clocks 675/770 - Scores 2391 | 2756 (e6600 @ 3.2Ghz)

That's a big increase for the same same clocks (even a tiny bit slower on the memory), and I know having the e6600 clocked 200Mhz did not do that. Maybe EATM did it?

I like 7.1 :D I broke 6.5k today.

Okay, I have the same set of problems with these Catalysts that I have with every other friggin' set of catalysts.

The CCC doesn't goddamn load. At all. From the desktop, from right click, from the control panel, from prayer, nothing. This is with the whole shamole 35MB download, too. I have to do all my configurating with a third party tool fer cryin' out loud! This has happened with every set of Catalysts I have ever tried, and I have no idea why.

The other problem is that, in Windows, every now and again for some reason my secondary display will change rez to 640 or 300 or something, then switch back to 1024x768. The flicker is distracting as hell when it happens. Doesn't happen when I'm gaming for some reason.

downloaded, cleaned out the old drivers reinstalled...

2 point increase in 3dmark06...

no real noticeable improvement in any games I play.... at least it didn't crap out my box.

Image scaling is broken and apparently has been for a long time

Huge decrease for me in aquamark
last driver:113580
current: 99267

Im using ATI Tool and just the video driver...

Nice drivers overall.

No noticiable performance increases but CCC loads up almost twice faster now than with my older 6.12 CCC drivers.

Yep, version 2.0.

You could check if your firewall is blocking CLI.exe file. Not sure if this would cause CCC not to function at all, but atleast with my system, CLI.exe does attempt some sort of Internet access.

Funny that. My CCC had been working fine.

Today, Nothing. Can't get it to load. My only(software)firewall is Windows. DIsabled, still nothing.

Where'd that come from?

Cleaned out old drivers, installed Ati Driver & CCC, ran aquamark3 = 111865. Can someone tell me why I get less performance with just Ati driver and Ati tool, when compared to Ati driver and CCC?

Ati Tool + Ati Driver = 99267
CCC + Ati Driver = 111865
