Just curious if anyone knows where to get these drivers from? Seems like all the top projects use them.

These 8.07s = 4.10b (as Mister E stated)

These drivers will help all series but are primarily meant to fix problems on (256 MB) X800 cards.

I think the biggest help comes from the drivers fixing a memory allocation issue on cards with 256megs of memory.

The 8.07 beta driver includes a memory allocation bug fix for all AGP RADEON products with 256 of MB of memory that significantly improves performance for applications that make intensive us of graphics memory.

And this driver did in fact increase my gaming performance. 5-10 extra fps on D3. In fact, I'm capped so often now at 60fps in D3 I might just turn off the fps counter. Don't need it. :D

5-10 up from using 4.9?

I'll have to try it and see if I can crank up Dawn of War @ 1600x1200 with AI @ 4x and everything maxed without any jitters.

Why don't they just go to 5.0 or something? Why do they always have to dick around with the numbers.

First # = year, as in 4 = 2004
Second # = month, as in 10 = October

Just did the beta install, and the driver shows up as 6.14.10.6490.

Is that the correct driver?
