I installed the new drivers, after uninstalling the old ones, wiping with driver cleaner, etc. I get some error stating "Warning: Nothing will be rendered" "Install the DirectxSDK to get the full reference device" and needless to say, everything on my desktop runs as if it is very very choppy. I uninstalled and reinstalled the 4.8's with the same luck. Someone pull me out of this jam!
 
Might have to do with the SMARTGART, sometimes it takes two reboots to initialize properly (and when it doesn't the first time, you basically lose acceleration ability, causing menu slowdown and no DX).
 
So what do I do to fix it? I system restored and everything is okay, but I really want the new drivers to work!
