Building a media server that'll hold 6 drives (storage - 4 in RAID 5, OS - 2 in RAID 1), trying to find a good case for the thing, and can't seem to find one that fits all my needs. I obviously need at least 6 internal 3.5" bays (ok, I could use adapters and put some of them in 5.25" bays)... I want good airflow with low noise, so multiple 120mm fans would be ideal. And I want it to be a high quality case that's not going to feel like a piece of crap in 2 years. Willing to spend money to get quality, but so far I haven't found anything I really liked.

Suggestions?

The Stacker comes with a 4-to-3 thing, IIRC. I think it's format-neutral; that is, you can put sata or ide (or scsi, for that matter) devices in it with no problems. I don't own a stacker, though, much to my dismay, so I can't confirm it for you.

 
Yes, I own a CM Stacker and it comes with one 4-in-3 bay that lets you store 4x3.5 drives (any 1 inch drive will fit, format neutral) in 3x5.25 bay space. You have a total of 12 5.25 bays accessible so if you use one for the IO panel and one for an optical drive then you can fit up to 3 4-in-3 bays in one and have 12 hard drives roaring. Each 4-in-3 has its own 120 mm fan you keep the drives nice and cool.

I would strongly recommend!
 
Ahh, I was too discriminating in my search on newegg... I specified 6+ 3.5" bays and the CM is only stated to have 4. It looks awesome, I may well go with the full tower version (more 120mm fan goodness). Is there an easy place to get more of those 3:4 converters for the bays? I'd just need one more.

I just stuck 10 HDD's in one along with 2 optical drives(8 drives in raid 5 2 in raid 1)

Each drive chassis in the case has a 120mm fan they're very quiet and VERY good at keeping cool.
 
I think any 4/5-in-3 bay will work, but if you want the official CoolerMaster 4-in-3 then you can get it at HERE. The model number is STB-3T4-E1. Kind of hard to find, but not too difficult.

Just FYI, these are internal only 4-in-3 bays, so if you want ones that you can hotswap out then you'll need to look into another *-in-3 bay.
