Cases good for hiding wires?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get a case that is great for hiding wires. I have the Ultra X2 psu with the flex force cables. I'd like the hide the wires behind the motherboard so I guess a removable motherboard tray is pretty important or just something that has plenty of space between the back of the motherboard tray and the right side panel. In terms of looks I like something that looks clean and simple. I really like the thermaltake armor case but it doesn't seem like I can hide much behind the motherboard. Thanks

Well.. you can hide cables well pretty much in any case, you just have to know the techniques how to do it. You don't need a removable motherboard tray at all. If you want to hide cables "behind" the motherboard, just unscrew your mobo, and lay the cables on the tray making sure they don't go taller than your standoffs that your screw the board into. Taping them down works pretty well if you don't have enough room for zip tie bracket mounts. (I use masking tape, clear box tape, or that crystal clear scotch tape in the red package)

For some good cases to hide wires in, look toward the "rate my cables" thread in the case modding gallery forum. I like my lian-li, and it gave me plenty of room to hide/route cables. I just ordered 2 thermaltake aguila's (same as armor jr) to build some computers in for my client, and I know I can hide wires in there pretty well. It takes lots of planning and mock ups before you actually put all the components in. I like to lay out my wiring first, then put the motherboard and core hardware in. I'll install the power supply, sleeve all my front panel cables that are bare, use zip tie mounts in the appropriate places, then secure down all my wiring to the perfect lengths. If you have tons of left over PSU cables and stuff, just toss them behind something or in a spare 5.25 bay. Zip tie them in one neat bundle to help get a better look.
