yes this another one of those threads... unfortunatly the other werent very helpfull so i made my own...
so im looking at several cases and trying to decide wich one is the best one, rated on quiteness, space (possibly to accomodate a WC setup), and air cooling... oh and weight.... (price as well, cheap is good but not the top priority) (prices in CAD)

oh and i plan to use an OCZ ModStream 520 with it (or the 450 one) although im open to othe PSU suggestions (but it gotta be modular :cool: )
 
My votes is for the P180 - excellent case, good silent performance and good airflow. It maybe on the weighty side, but its better to have thicker walls as they are far more durable than thin ones that bend. :D

the modstream's cables are not long enough for the p180 afaik. The Sunbeam NUUO is a nice modular, as is the antec neo 480 (the 500 and 550's are having bad problems with asus boards atm), and the enermax liberties have been getting good reviews too(this is the only one I have mentioned that I have not owned)..

They are not. If you want a good modular PSU, consider the Enermax Liberty series.
 
Wow some good replies... looks like Antecs favored more than others....
i kinda like p180, but its sooooooo heavy.... (im torn now between p160 and p180)
anyone had an experience of intsalling some sort of wheels on that case?
oh and i was looking over Liberty psu, looks like a good deal...
and last question is it feasible to replace a TT Volcano 12 with aThermalright SI-97A with a low speed 92mm panaflo?
 
Why is the Chenbro Gaming Bomb II always overlooked in these threads?

I mean, all the cases mentioned in thie thread are very good cases.

Very much so. Less noise, much less weight, better cooling. Plus, you can use the SI-97A on your future Socket 754/939 system.
 
no need to jump on the P180 band wagon. It has a few mobos that dont do well in it, whereas the other cases dont have any compatability issues.

What types of mobos? (who knows maybe mine is right the one that wont fit)
 
I don't think weight should be factored into your decision between these cases. Once you load them up with a complete system, the weight difference is not that great anymore. If you like the P180 the most, just go ahead and get it. No need to worry about the extra few pounds.
 
So the p180 then.... well need to sell the old case first....
just a question, how hard is to put the p180 on wheels? (any suggestions for good pc wheels? :D )
 
The initial wave (get it?) of modding to the WaveMaster seems to have passed, but ti's still a great case to mod--solid construction (too solid sometimes when you're trying to cut aways parts of it). There's not a lot of room for watercooling--I went with 1/2" hoses which is a little overkill I'm now realizing. But with smaller components for watercooling now, you can still do a very nice watercooling set up with a WaveMaster.
 
I heard there were a few issues with wire management on the P180s since the PSU is a seperate chamber than the rest of the case. Weight shouldnt be an issue IMO unless you're a huge lanboy (or girl) and need to carry the thing all over the place. My current case is a Full tower from 1999 and the thing weighs a good 25lbs without all the components in it. But I never move it and the airflow is fantastic so I don't mind. :p

Just a footnote, I am going with the P180 I think for my next build in January. If it had a subtle window I'd be even more impressed with it. I'm just worried about the lack of direct cooling on the two GTX's I'd be running.
 
Personally I think NZXT Lexa case is one of the best cases I have used in the last few years. Light, quiet, well ventilated, and it looks awesome!
