Looking for a case to accomadate the following specifications;
i5 750 w/ H50
H55N
2x2GB DDR3-1600
5850
1x Optical drive
1x 1TB HDD

the cases I've looked at so far are;
LIAN LI PC-Q07
LIAN LI PC-Q08B - Can't find anyone with this case, if you guys have any pics with parts in it, please post
Sugo 05 - PSU will be replaced with a 450W

Right now I'm leaning towards the PC-Q-07 since it's so small and even takes a ATX PSU. only issue is that it does not support dual slot video cards but I theres enough room below the first slot to cut a second slot out with a dremel. any suggestions?

The stock PSU is more than enough to run your current setup.

I think the SG05/6 series is very well designed. A slight mod is needed to mount an H50 AND the 5850, but it is easily doable.

Besides, you save a lot of cash by getting the SG05/6 over a Lian-Li and a full ATX PSU. When you are looking at PSU's you should always check the 12V rail amperage, as that is where the majority of power is taken these days.

is 300W really enough? and what mods do I have to do to install a 5850 and a H50?

It is enough for casual sporadic use. Not enough for hard use, the PSU should eventually die since you're most likely exceeding it's specifications.

LMAO.. Remove the q07 from your list.. There is NO way of modding the case to fit a 5850. The limit is not the dual slot as thats been modding by several people. Its the depth of the case. You would have to cut a hole in the front of the case & it would stick out several inches past the front bezel. Hell I am not sure if a 5850 would even fit inside the case diagonally with no other hardware.

As much as it pains me to say because I love the q07 it is NOT a gamers case. Top video card that you can fit is a power color 5770 (they make a couple models with 5750 PCB's)

Edit: although from your choices there I would get a q08. Then your not limited by the PSU or slim optical drive like you are with the silverstones

thanks for the reply. yeah i found out the Q07 can only fit a 5770 max sadly so I've decided to for the Q08 but I might wait till the Q11.

I don't think waiting would help.. I am fairly sure the q11 will still not be able to fit a 5850, Maybe a 5770 at normal length, But its just not deep enough.

hope this helps:

its very messy atm though!

thank you! the coke can really gave me a good idea on the size. I thin Im gunna go with this case.

imo theres tonnes of room, ample space for water which is what im thinking of :) (i dont use a dvd drive so my hdd is in there rattling about for now!) but i could easily stick the cage back in with no hassle as it is
