Could someone please suggest a sleek, nice-looking case under $120, preferably with a built-in PSU? I'm building a gaming PC.
 
by built in do you mean one that comes with the case? i'd suggest getting a nice case and picking out a good psu to for your needs, usually psu's that come with cases suck for the most part.
 
yes, I mean comes with the case. So they're usually not good? That's too bad :( . Well do you have a case + PSU suggestion?
 
well for $120 you cant get a great case and a great psu. but i would focus towards a great psu more than a case (IMO its 100x more important)

What are your system specs. What color do you want the case and is a side window a must?
 
yar those are some questions you must answer.

but im gonna suggest the Thermaltake Mambo anyways. i like that case. nice design too. comes in both non-window, with window, non-PSU, with PSU. i might add, Thermaltake makes PSUs, decent PSUs, so if there just taking one of their Toughpower 400W and sticking it in these cases they should last.
 
this stuff I have and like but I doubt will be under 120:
Antec P180, simple, sleek, great cooling... my case temp is 27C under load. Room temp is 25 in my house.
Antec SmartPower of whatever wattage. It's good and modular, plus the cables can bend, unlike the ULTRA X-Connect 2.

That won't come in under 120 probobly, unless it's a liquidation sale.
But unless they come out with a new MB form factor, you'll never need
to replace them.

PS If you do get the P180, it can scratch easy, and it's bigger then it looks

definately no where near $120 the case alone exceeds that. but that is a great case.

TheDrag0nReb0rn - you need to tell us the most ca$h you will put out, what your system specs are and if you need a window and color scheme :)
 
Sorry, I was off doing something else. The main components of my computer will be an AMD Athlon 64 3800+, the Sapphire X1800XT, the Western Digital 250GB HDD, and probably either the DFI ultra-D or ASUS A8R-MVP MoBo.

As for the case, I like blue and black in any combination, or black by itself. I don't think I really want a side window because I don't want to use money on lighted fans or anything, but if the rest of the case looks very cool then having a side window is fine.

And I'd really like to spend no more than $120, but I guess $150 is my limit.
 
If you can deal with maybe a few scratches or a missing box, you can get a lot of the Antec cases as B Stock . For instance, the P180 drop to $67...

Guess I missed something... what do you mean by modular? I thought modular meant detachable cables?
 
I'd be wary of thermaltake psu's. In your price range you should look for FSP Group, Fortron or Sparkle.

yeah. modular means you can detach cables you arent using so less clutter.

his price rangs ($120-$150) includes a case and psu not just a psu

but those are good brands. i like tagan... ocz isnt bad either
 
I would definately get a better psu than a thermaltake as stated by Slartibartfast, he has got some pretty good components and should not skimp on a psu.
