I have an older beige case that is my 4th spare system and I really like it because of its design and quality. But the beige look is kinda outdated. I would like to update it with a case skin simular to these:
http://www.xoxide.com/caseskin.html

But 54.99 seems really high. Ive look around and they are all 54.99 (strange price fixing here).
What i was wondering is what makes these skins so expensive? I would gladly pay 20-30.00 each but 54.99, I could get a nice whole case with P.S. for that.

Has anyone done this case skin mod and is this process really worth 54.99 to you?

Thanks for any input.

You cant really make skins on your own, you can airbrush, but that you need to actually be able to paint first :p. If you dont like the beige look why dont you try one of the paint tutorials in the modding faq. You can paint it any colour you want :)

Why couldn't you make skins on your own? Any decent office/novelty store can print stickers and same with some autostores that do vinyl graphics, all you would need is the picture and the sizes for the case. the only problem is that it might be more money.

Just go to HomeDepot and get some peel and stick veneers and do your own marquetry. Easy to do with the veneers and gives it a custom look. :D

If you have artwork, I do them. I was just discussing with my vinyl guy about doing some caseskins, and he tells me it is definately do-able. All I need is artwork in 300dpi, with 150dpi being the very bare minimum.

You can PM me if you want, since promoting our own websites is frowned upon here.

Thanks for the link stress.... but the cheaper prices on the skins are actually 1/2 size and wouldnt fit over the entire case.. They would be good if you wanted to put them on one side only or a really small case.
