I just got a Antec P-160 case. The case has two case probes/sensor's that you can stick where ever you want in the case, that show the temp. on the front of the case.

A. Where should i put them?
B. if stick them near my cpu and video card, can i stick them basically almost in the heatsink of either thing, is that safe?

A. I "map" my case first for hotspots before settling on fixed locations
(remember to take variations of the room temperature ambient into account)

B. generally speaking yes, you can actually put them in contact with a heatsink
sort of depends on the sensor itself, and Im not familiar with what that case has but find it likely its OK

Mine are rated for 0 to 100C (32 to 212F)

I run 2 x DigitalDoc 5s and monitor the following
both Voltage Regulation Moduals
Intake and Exhaust Air of the PSU
both CPU Heatsinks
the GPU Heatsink
the Hypertransport AGP Graphics Tunnel & PCI-X Heatsinks
& 7 HDDs
