Case selection

Well I am looking for a case for a new i5/i7 system. I need to be silent and able to cool my CPU and GPU (5850) efficiently.

In the beginning I was looking for a medium priced case like the CoolerMaster Centuriom RC-590 (with the cost of some additional fans) but I
wanted to increase my budget just a little bit to get a better case.

The next model that I had in mind was the CoolerMaster RC- 690 for 75 Euros, but I found the CoolerMaster HAF RC – 922 for 82 Euros. (they usually sell it for 100+ Euros in my area)

The HAF 922 is little over my budget but if it is worth it I don’t really mind. I really like the case especially the cable management.
What is your opinion about the case? Is it quiet enough? Does it get dusty after a while from the side panel? (I am interested to add a fan from the side)

The only alternative that I found (in case the 922 doesn’t suit me) is the Lancool PC-K62 Black but is more expensive (90 Euros) and doesn’t have position for a side fan.

The Antec 300 is a pretty decent just below the price range of what you mentioned. It has room for a total of 4 x120mm fans and a 140mm fan as a blowhole exhaust. I used one with my Q9400 clocked at 3.5 and the temps were 50c max running P95 (using a Xigmatek S1283 hsf).

I just picked up a Cooler Master Gladiator 600 for a budget build. Nice case with decent cooling. Has room for 4 x 120mm fans (really 3 cause if you use a tall hsf one of the intakes is blocked) and a 140mm blowhole exhaust. Good cable management potential in it as well.

Both the 690 and 922 coolermaster are solid cases, can't go wrong with either one. Only thing I don't like about them are the tool less rubber screws/nubs that you get to mount your hard drives. Just personal opinion but in your price range I'd rather go with the antec 300 or the 900 if you can get a deal on it.

Was Able to pick up two antec 900 cases for dirt cheap from frys electronics a while back, really nice cases for the price!

edit: oh yea, no idea about that lancool but you can never go wrong with a lian li case, love them to death....just gotta pay for it.

Thanks for all the info.

I was also looking for a deal at Antec 900 but I find it in 110 Euros price range in my area. Antec 300 is also a very good case (thanks for the recommendation) but I decided to get something bigger.

So I was between HAF 922 and the Lancool K62 and I have decided to get the Lancool because is quieter and also dust free.

Thanks again.
