I'm so frustrated because I can't find a full size tower with all the specs that I want, so I'm seriously considering building my own from scratch. I think it will be way more fun and rewarding anyway. So is there anyplace that I can buy stuff like drive cages, mobo trays, etc? I've looked around but can't find 'em...

woops, please move my thread to the case modding section. Thanks!

hmm, what kind of spec you are looking for that is so hard to find?

to answer your questions. i think Mnpctech.com and silverpc.com will have the motherboard tray and other part you need. but as for drive cages... you probably better off going to a local computer shop and grab a junky used case and strip it. or You can just make your own using what ever materials you want. The is no special requirement for drive cages as long they are sturdy, ventilated and the holes match up.

good luck

These are the following sites that has the parts you need
Mountain Mods
go to case, then case parts. They have both the MOBO tray and the drive cages you need

and this has the raw materials you need
Online metals

My advice to look for the panels is either Lowes or Home Depot
I know Home Depot has it because I visit it 4-13-06

;) Good Luck with your mod! ;)
