I've got some spare time and a bit of cash, I was wondering what I would need to get started on painting my case, I've got a noname case i got for 45$ CND, it looks sorta like a space ship with a handle up top...

parts of case

handle = plastic
front = plastic
side panels = steel

What would i need to paint these? I'm thinking i would have to sand the original paint off the steel then use a primer and then the colour i want (probably white then logo on the none-window side) cuz i was thinking 220~ grit sandpaper and lots of krylon paint

p.s. i'm also curious about the plexi window it has, i want to make the window blurry or fuzzy, could i use high grit sanding paper to get a blurry effect on the plexi glass?

p.p.s. i've done well with wire management and have taken apart the front plastic cover, all the parts can be taken off without issues so i can paint pretty much every part of the case... plus i have a backup comp and case i can shove my parts in so time is not of issue

thanks in advanced i hope i conveyed what i'm trying to do properly.

No need to strip the paint off just sand the surface down till it's smooth. You'll end up taking some paint off but you don't need to completely strip it. Use a wet sandable primer most automotive primers are wet sand and you can buy them at any hardware or paint store. 250 grit sand paper after your first coat then 400 to 600 grit after your 2nd and 3rd coats. Sand the plastic parts with 400 and prime. If you want a high gloss shine to your case wet sand after every coat of paint if not just put on 2 or 3 coats of your base color and clear coat.
