case mod idea came 2 today

well 2day I was at work and I wanted to go lanning, but then I thought well I would have 2 bring all my cds with me

my idea is

taking a 5.25 bay and the whole area that a cd would go in and converting that to hold my cds

any one have any ideas how I would do this?
 
yeah.. they sell those... some are springloaded, where you push a button and it shoots one out at out.. others have pull out trays.. i have seen a few versions... but most look like they are pretty shitty...
 
Mine doesn't look or operate like those in the above links.

Mine's got a row of 10 buttons on the right side that eject the disc for that location. Button 1 ejects disc 1, buttons 2 ejects disc 2, etc.... The whole thing is covered by a nice flip-down door to hide it all.

no, my grandma has one... we got it a market pro swap meet in orlando... and smoene else i knew had one of those tray style ones... but i can't think who.. it is a piece of shit though... and i think my grandma's is kinda shitty too... i guess sarversystems got the "real" one...

nice mod job dood, thats 1 of the nicest acrylic cases ive seen. You definatly deserve props on that. got any more pics of the other side of the case? :D

I like my CD carrier the best...they are made by Western Digital and Maxtor and come in 80, 120, 200, etc. gigabyte capacity :p Daemon Tools for mounting images. Gamecopyworld for fixed .exe files (you CANNOT downloado warez from the site, its just for fixed .exes.
