Ok in all the other catagories on hardforum there are stickies to explain what cases are good for what and what compaines are good. There is none here and im int he market for a new pc i can afford anything under $175 im not building a m-atx or sff. so either mid tower or tower. Can i get some recomendations?

I'll recomend the case I am currently using. It is a Silverstone TJ-06 . It is very sturdy, has a TON of room, looks great, and fits your budget. I have the silver one with no window. I haven't seen that one available for a long time at newegg, but they still have both the silver and black versions with a window. What makes this case especially unique, is that it inverts the ATX MOBO giving it the BATX look. This puts the CPU at the bottom of the case out of the direct path of the rising heat from the video card and HDD's.

I'd recommend any Mid-Tower Lian-Li case. Nice, sturdy cases and you can get some around $125 on Newegg. The Full-Tower original stacker looks pretty good too. It allows for a lot of upgrade and gives you the optional water-cooling for later..

The question gets asked quite a bit so if you don't find something you like, search the last couple pages and I'm positive you'll find something.
